Working alongside the Shine team, YMCA digital are running music sessions in Warsop. 3.30-5.30 percussion and singing with primary school ages, then 5.30-7.30 its band time.

Young people from the Learning works project are with the Ymca Digital team every Tuesday. The students are learning all aspect of digital media and are particularly enjoying the radio and graffiti sessions.

A Century of Youth is an exciting film project exploring what it's like to be a young person both today and over the last century. Led by 19 young people from West Nottinghamshire College and South Nottingham College the Century of Youth films will combine archive footage and newly filmed interviews.

Our youth workers Dave and Gareth are out and about in Nottinghamshire everyday visiting young people in their homes. They're there to ask them what they've got up to since they've left school - are they in work, college or training? If not, they make an appointment for them with their local Connexions advisor who can help them to find a job, gain more qualifications or get some work experience. Young Beats is a highly creative musical documentary project designed to bring together young people from different backgrounds to explore key themes that exist in their communities such as territorialism, fear of getting involved in anti-social behaviour and gangs. Nottingham has a long-standing history of territorial grievances that was brought to the forefront due to some high profile incidents in the early part of the last decade. Through consultation with young people, The Zone Youth Project explored some of these rivalries and tensions between a few key areas. A production team of young people will be trained and supported to produce ten films, exploring issues that matter to young people in Nottingham and breaking down territorial barriers along the way. The production team will be getting out into Nottingham, visiting places they wouldn't ordinarily go and meeting people they wouldn't ordinarily meet. Young lyricists from across Nottingham will receive specialist training to write and produce 10 bespoke tracks to be used in the films. Young people will have the opportunity to work together, get their voices heard, gain skills, get involved in the community and develop a shared sense of pride in Nottingham.
